This lovely, simply decorated chalet is located in the hamlet of Corte Vidreiro, a 5-minute drive from Sta Catarina Fonte Bispo and a 35-minute drive from Faro airport. It is in a small vineyard, in a quiet, unspoiled area, ideal for a couple who enjoys the peace of a beautiful countryside. The chalet has a private porch with views of the vineyard and garden with swimming pool. There are several patios and places to sit and relax, and a dining area with a BBQ for guest use. The Portuguese farmhouse of the owners is nearby on the same plot, and they are available to answer all your questions. The chalet has its own access from the car park, with steps up to the door, so it is not suitable for people with mobility problems. The swimming pool and guest loungers are available to guests of the chalet as well as guests who stay in the farmhouse. There are also sandy beaches nearby (20-25 min.), in Fuseta and Barrill, and excellent golf courses as well. The area is perfect for walking. Recommended places to visit at only a 20 minutes drive include the charming town of Tavira with its castle ruins and the large fishing port of Olhã. The Nature Reserve Ria Formosa is also worth a visit. A 2 person guesthouse consisting of: a bedroom (1x double bed) with TV (sat.), under floor heating, bathroom (toilet, shower, washbasin) and outdoor kitchen with BBQ and 2 gas burners, is available on request.

Non smokingIf you are not keen on walking in the surrounding hills, why not try Horse Riding. There is now the possibility to hire horses from a neighbour and discover the hillside on horseback. The extra bed in the chalet is for child but can be used for a small adult. We can reccommend the local Portuguese restaurant, Monte Velho, which is ca. 20 mins. walk. either through the hills or on the road.
